Ever since middle school, I have watched streamers play video games and kept up to date with esports tournaments. When I got my first gaming laptop in high school, I didn’t hesitate to download some of my favorites. Every chance I can get, I love being able to escape into a universe full of excitement and surprises and into a world where I can express myself. However, my experience in the gaming world has led me to a very prominent problem—the presence of gender discrimination. So, I wrote this article on my experience to provide awareness on the issue, and hopefully I can help other women like me in the process.
